The Inkling: What is the Willy’s Run? Well first you have to ask what is a Willy’s. If you have been on one of our Austria Dream Trips then you would know the answer to the first part. Willy’s is a uniquely Austrian shot of Williams Pear Schnapps with a little round cocktail pear in the bottom of the glass, often adorned with a tooth-picked Austrian flag. It’s one of the most enjoyable après shots in the world, clean, refreshing with just the right amount of whooooeeeee at the finish.

The Run: The Willy’s Run is something akin to the Cannonball Run but instead of driving from NYC to Los Angeles in record time we will fly in style to Stuttgart, where we will experience the magic of Porsche at the Museum & Factory and pickup our choice of Porsches for the rest of the tour. As part of our mission, we will purchase 1 Liter bottles of Felser Williamsbirnenschnaps for only $9.00 Euros at the Interspar store in Innsbruck – We will grab 4 Liters each and make a run back to our rooms where we will pack it carefully for our journey back to the US of A.

The Plan: Fly to Stuttgart on Miles or secure cheap airfare leaving on Sunday Oct 22, 2023 and arrive the next day 23OCT.Check into our Stuttgart Hotel and have dinner.

Tuesday: We will tour the factory in the morning, have lunch at the Porsche Restaurant and follow that with a tour of the museum.

Wednesday: After breakfast we will secure our Porsches and head out for Kitzbuhel. Once there we will enjoy a hearty lunch at our favorite beer stubbe and then tour the Hahnenkamm - a fun site in the fall without snow.

Thursday: Our biggest driving day and most exciting. We will head up the famous Glossglockner pass stopping for coffee and a snack at the Fat.Mankei Hutte - a special place built exclusively for car fanatics. After that we will head down through Lienz into Cortina and the Dolomites. After a nice break we continue on to Val Gardena and some more magical roads.

Friday: We will enjoy a little tour of Val Gardena and the Saslong Gondola before heading out to Innsbruck.driving some fun back roads along the way. Dinner in Innsbruck old town at our favorite Stubbe.
